LAFAYETTE, La. -- After a national search, Dr. Vincent G. June, who served as interim chancellor beginning in June of 2020, was promoted in December 2020. June replaces former Chancellor Natalie Harder, who left SLCC on June 30 to become president at Coker University in South Carolina. She was SLCC’s chancellor for eight years.
June has successfully secured state and federal grant funds, as well as participated in fund-raising and partnership development activities to support academic programs, student development, scholarships, and institutional resources totaling over $52.4 million. June has extensive accreditation, institutional merger-realignment, and governing board experience. His research interests include college-wide assessment to support retention, educational leadership in the academic and student affairs profession, and academic success for special populations in higher education.
Dr. Vincent G. June becomes the sixth chancellor of South Louisiana Community College.
