(KADN) — Mardi Gras festivities were in full swing across Acadiana this weekend, with balls and parades galore. Floats and more rolled through the streets of New Iberia and Carencro.

New Iberia's Bayou Mardi Gras Parade took place late Sunday afternoon. It featured plenty of beads, bands, and floats.

A huge crowd turned out for the parade, despite having to wait a couple extra days. The parade was rescheduled from Friday night because of stormy weather.

The Carencro Mardi Gras Parade was also held this weekend. It rolled on Saturday, featuring 15 floats and high school bands.
