FRANKLIN, La. (KADN) — The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice issued an alert for people to be on the lookout for a teen escapee who was being held on murder and other charges.
Officials said Kimmy Dauntain Jr., 17, escaped from custody Friday, Feb. 2, while on an escorted trip in Franklin. He is described as 4'11" and 100 lbs. They added he was last seen running away wearing a black and white jumpsuit.
According to officials, Dauntain was being held on numerous violent charges, including: first-degree murder, second-degree murder (accessory after the fact), simple battery, and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office and Franklin Police Department are searching for Dauntain.
