COVID-19 Numbers Continue To Decrease; LDH Reports 229 New Cases In Louisiana On March 15

BATON ROUGE, LA (KADN) - The Louisiana Department of Health reports 229 new COVID-19 cases and 38 new deaths.

That brings the state's totals to 1,230,419 cases and 16,950 deaths from the virus since the pandemic began.

LDH said that statewide, 197 people are hospitalized for COVID treatment. 16 are on ventilators.

St. Martin- 12,908 cases, 182 deaths

St. Mary- 12,455 cases, 259 deaths

Vermilion-15,226 cases, 222 deaths

229 new cases reported in the state with 38 new deaths resulting from COVID-19.
